Mexican Ska

So, I bring to you Panteón Rococó. This is a Mexican Ska band, but they do not resort only to the most traditional forms of Ska, instead they add some latin rythms and keyboards and other things I still am trying to figure out what they are. Very enjoyable, and nice.

Sleater-Kinney - The Woods

So you want to be entertained?
Please look away
We're not here 'cause we want to entertain
Please go away (don't go away)
Reality is the new fiction, they say
Truth is truer in these days, truth is man-made
If you're here cause you want to be entertained
Please go away

Sleater-Kinney's last album, and it is immediately apparant why. From the abrasive stomp of the Fox to the epic, etheral refrain of Night Light, the album does not let up, and the group could not do better, and decided not to try. This is punk, but it incorporates so much more, has long guitar solos, but keeps the passion, and never pulls its punches politically or emotionally.

All Girl Summer Fun Band

You're gonna give me a heart attack,
I hold my breath when you don't call me back,
I'm turning into an insomniac,
I toss and turn all night thinking of you...

The All Girl Summer Fun Band is a great pop-rock/indie band that write completely inane, poppy tunes about love, having fun and Jason Lee. This is probably their strongest album, although all of their CDs have the same fun sing-along feeling and I really suggest checking them out more if you like this release.

Bikini Kill - CD Version of the First Two Records

Because some of you wanted more Bikini Kill. Which is cool, because it is good shit. The next couple of paragraphs were shamelessly copied from Wikipedia.

Bikini Kill was an American punk band formed in Olympia, Washington in October of 1990. The group is widely considered to be the pioneer of the riot grrrl movement, and was well known and notorious for its radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Their music was characteristically abrasive and hardcore punk-influenced.

While occasionally collaborating (politically and creatively) with high-profile acts such as Nirvana and Joan Jett, Bikini Kill was well known for shunning major labels and the mainstream rock press. After two full-length albums, several EPs and two compilations, the group disbanded in 1998.

The C.D. Version of the First Two Records is the 1994 first CD release of punk rock band Bikini Kill, collecting their 1992 eponymous EP and their half of the 1993 EP Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, an album they shared with the band Huggy Bear. The album includes the track "Rebel Girl", which song made #27 on the Rolling Stone list of "Most Excellent Songs Of Every Year Since 1967", a playlist assembled by the magazine in 2006 to celebrate its 1000th issue.
Now download and enjoy some quality punk, Stormbitches.

NOTE: They nazi'd the link. Sad Face :(

The Exploited

Zero requested some The Exploited, and here it is. This is my favorite Punk thing so far - not that I have heard THAT much, but still. This thing is vicious and unforgiving, and UK-82 has a necksnapping break which is repeated like 3 times, so don't even start fixing that until you have heard it three fuckin' times. Also, the midpaced tittle track is epic for a Punk band, another highlight. And please don't fuck the USA, but happily headbang to that song. Fans of Crossover Thrash like the Cro-Mags will love this. Also, fans of Overkill, early Motorhead, etc... Though, if you ask me, everyone must listen to this.
