Disfear

Disfear is a Swedish crust punk band. Here is their first full length album entitled Soul Scars. I have their album Misanthropic Generation and it is fucking mega so I didn't expect anything less when I went searching for more. Flagitious Idiosyncrasy In The Dilapidation are a Japanese Death/Grind band, and sound like a small dog being stamped on repeatedly by a big boot. They're sort of fun, and this is their first demo. Also I know that they don't look like a Death/Grind band, but take my word for it.

Legion of the Damned

Zero's membership is expired or some shit so I'm uploading this for him.

This is Legion Of The Damned, a cool little Death/Thrash band I stumbled across on Last.fm. They are pretty awesome, and have a odd singer. His voice is somewhere between a throaty Death Metal growl, and a Thrashier shriek. Although I think there are zero leads in the songs, the songs still kick ass. The riffs are awesome and the drumming is fucking tight, so download it before I hit you.

Acid Witch

Acid Witch is a Death/Doom/Psychedelic band that plays shit that reminds me of Ahab, if Ahab were using LSD. It's this fuzzed out psychedelic brand of doom that is fucking mega. Witchantic Hellucinations is a set of 13 terrible tales as dark and doomy as the brew in the Witch's cauldron. Don't go into this album expecting something like Reverend Bizarre, that kind of clean doom that you can listen to for several hours straight without any adverse effects. This shit is Doom metal in the vein of Black Sabbath's famous self titled song. It's gory horrid music in the vein of some of our favorite death metal bands, it's doom in the vein of Sabbath's early work, and it's psychedelia in the vein of Deep Purple and Pink Floyd. The guitars are masterful, catchy riffs, they use the keyboard well, without over doing it.

The Red Chord is fucking bad ass, and this is coming from some one who hates Metalcore and Grindcore. They are fast, they are technical, they are brutal as shit, and there instrumentals are ALWAYS sick. So if your in the mood for chugging riffs, intense energy, and to get torn a new one, and then fucked in it, download this now.

I find Withered a very difficult band to define. Death Metal seems to be the most prevalent stylistic choice, so that's how I'll label it, but they shift between death to black to sludge to grind and back again so often and smoothly that they can be pretty much anything. However you want to class them one thing is certain: this is a fine piece of metal, to be sure. One minute the guitars may be lulling you with sludgy melody, and then when you're least likely to expect it, they'll fucking crush you with some terrifyingly aggressive riffs. The vocals are fittingly guttural and coarse and match the riff-laden, grinding guitar onslaught perfectly - watch out for some guest vocals from Barney Greenway on ...The Fated Breath and Clamour Beneath. Highlight of the album? The fucking ripping Necrophobic cover it ends with. Good shit yo.
